The entire amount of monies earned by an inmate is split into different accounts or towards different monies owed. Percentages are split so that the majority goes to the inmate for subsistence but the rest is used to pay restitution, child support, other support and some go into a savings account for the inmate. No monies should be kept by the facility. If ths is occurring, contact the executive office of the specific department of corrections handling this particular employer.
