Is there anyway I can have a felony charge expunged?

This happened when I was 18 years old. I was trying to get into a nightclub with a fake ID. The officer was harsh and processed it as a felony (fraud) and I was fingerprinted and thrown in jail for a night. However, I was charged with a misdemeanor (unlawful acts) that I pled guilty to ($300 fine). This still comes up on fingerprint checks though as a felony charge.

Whether or not you can have a prior conviction for a criminal act expunged depends upon many factors. Such factors include, but are not limited to how long ago was the conviction, have you been in trouble with the law since, what have you done with your life since the conviction and how serious was the charge that you were convicted for.

In order to evaluate the chances of having the prior conviction expunged, you should consult with a criminal defense attorney who practices in the county and state where you were convicted of a crime.
