Can my employer fire me for being put on a weight restriction by my doctor?
I was put on a weight restriction so I could do physical therapy for a neck injury not related to work. They said if I don’t have it lifted they will terminate me.

No. This would be a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Being obese is a disability and a medical condition. Your neck injury is also a disability. The employer must make a reasonable accomodation for your disabilities. You can check the law in your state but this is also a violation of the ADA. If you want to call me, my number is 310-271-0606. My email is [email protected]. I am admitted in CA and NY. Brenda Feigen
