How long should it take a beneficiary to be notified about an inheritance?
After becoming terminally ill, my grandfather told me that I was one of his beneficiaries. Then 3 months ago, he passed away. My mother feels that I should have been notified about the inheritance by now. Is she right or is it too early?

I am so sorry for your loss. It really depends on a lot of things - like the size of the estate, etc. - but there is absolutely no harm in your inquiring from the Proposed executor about the estate. I would contact the person that you think is in charge and ask the status. Good luck.
