What constitutes an auto accident?

I hurt myself while sitting down in the driver’s seat of my car. It was parked in my driveway (seat mount had rusted out and broke off). Now my health insurance company is calling it a car accident and saying that my auto insurance has to pay the medical bills? They have rescinded all the money they previously paid out.

A traffic collision, also known as a traffic accident, motor vehicle collision, motor vehicle accident, car accident (India), automobile accident, road traffic collision, road traffic accident, wreck (USA), car crash, or car smash (Australian) occurs when a vehicle collides with another vehicle, pedestrian, animal, road debris, or other stationary obstruction, such as a tree or utility pole. Traffic collisions may result in injury, death, vehicle damage, and property damage.

The above is the definition as to what is an auto accident.
