Should an employee be fired for sexual harassment?

There’s an employee sexually
harassing me and nothing was being
done about it. Now they’ve
transferred him to a different
store. I thought companies weren’t
supposed to ignore sexual
harassment?

A company must take steps to stop the harassment--such as, for example, transfering the harasser to a location where he can no longer continue it. There is, however, no obligation or legal requirement that the alleged harasser be terminated: so long the company takes reasonable steps  to put an end to the harassment, they have fulfilled their legal obligations.
