What can a beneficiary do to make sure they get what is listed in the Will?

My grandfather just passed away and had 3 children, including my mother. His Will is rather fair but my mom’s sister is doing all she can to keep assets hidden and claim all of the money and the truck for herself, refusing to tell anyone when probate court is. My mom lives in one state but the estate is in another.

Your mother needs to obtain probate litigation counsel to represent her in the state where the probate is being conducted to file a petition into the probate for appointment as executor or demand an accounting of the assets, liabilities, income., and file a request for special notice into the probate to receoive a copy of any and all documents filed in the estate, so as to protect your self as to all action in the probate. Do not delay.
