What to do if my ex-boyfriend vandalized my car?

He sent me a message and said he was sorry for what he did and that he would pay for it. So far he has given me $200 but that’s it. When I asked for the money again he refused to pay. I paid the deductible to have it fixed and for the rental car. Can I sue him or his insurance company for the money I paid?

Yes, you can sue him.  You can also apply for a warrant to have him arrested, especially if you have written correspondence from him admitting that he damaged your vehicle.  Additionally, you should consult with an attorney and look into obtaining a restraining order which will prevent him from contacting you or coming near you, your residence, school or place of employment.
