What to do if my now 17 year old daughter has just told me that her aunt molested her?

Not only am I in shock but I’m also very angry, hurt and clueless as to what if anything can be done. My daughter is concerned that her silence puts other children around this woman in danger. My daughter says the last incident was 10 years ago. Is there anything that can be done now?

Based upon what you have written about the molestation from the aunt, you need to immediately advise law enforcement about what your daughter has advised you so that a criminal investigation as to the aunt may begin to determine whether or not the molestation happened.
