What to do if my aunt died 2 1/2 years ago but her estate has not been settled?
My cousin, who lives in another state, is the executor. After trying to get information from the attorney who is supposedly helping my cousin with no reply, I don’t know what to do to get things settled.

I am so sorry for your loss and for the problems that have arisen. The attorney has no legal obligation to respond to you and frankly, he or she can not ethically do so either. If your cousin is not acting in the best interest of the estate and beneficairies you can askt he court for a formal accounting and/or a hearing on the status of the matter and if there is a breach of fiduciary duty, you can have him or her remived. Good luck.
