Is it legal to rent my detached garage for storage space only?

I live in Monroe CT and have a 37 X 13 detached garage that I would like to rent
for storage preferable just automobile storage. I would have a lease drawn up
and it would be clear that this would be for storage only. Would this violate
any zoning laws?

Zoning is local: you need to check your city's or town's laws. The easiest way to do this is to inquire at your town or city clerk's office or the building dept. office: the clerk can help you check the local ordinances or code.
Assuming your local zoning laws allow it, what you propose is otherwise legal, and you can draw up a lease that makes it clear that the rental is for storage only.
