No, it is most likely not legal. You were the victim not just of sexual assault, but also of illegal sexual-based employment harassment, since it was a co-worker who attacked you, at work. Terminating you after reporting it would appear to be a violation of the anti-discrimination laws, which forbid retaliating against the victim of sexual harassment or discrimination for reporting it. You should contact your state civil/equal rights agency or the federal EEOC; and/or speak with a private employment attorney about possibly bringing a lawsuit.
