What happens if I don’t go to a worker’s compensation pre-trial?

My mom has been summoned to a worker’s comp pre-trial. She doesn’t have a lawyer. The petition for review to the Industrial Action Board (DE) has “failure to sign agreement(s) / receipt(s)”. I’m trying to help her but I don’t understand what this pre-trial is, what will happen there, or what will happen if she doesn’t go.

If your mother fails to attend the administrative hearing that you have written about her claim very well could get dismissed or she could get sanctioned. I suggest that she retain a lawyer experienced in worker's compensation matters to assist and if she cannot afford one, she contact her local legal aid clinic.
