Whatt o do if I was fired for theft?
A instore credit totaling about $400. It’s my first offense never been in trouble with the law. Nothing even on my record. I have a court date for an arraignment. But does this mean I plead guilty and be done or do I ask for an attorney? I have never been to court so I have no clue what to even expect. I have aggreed to pay the company back via restitution to the store.

I suggest that you consult with a criminal defense attorney with respect to the charge against you and see if you qualify for the court's "diversion" program. If you are successful in the program assuming the court refers you to it as a first time offender, the charge should be dismissed against you without you receiving a conviction.
