What to do if I recently bought a used car at a local car dealership and had it financed but somehow I was mailed the title to the car free and clear?

I have made 2 payments to the finance company and I would like to know what my rights are if I stop making payments since the finance co. doesn’t own the title to my car.

If you stop making payments, they *will* be able to reposses the car and/or sue you for  the money; plainly, you have not paid all the amounts due on the financing agreement (which can be easily shown), so the mere fact that a clerical or administrative error was made does not give you title to the car.
