Yes and no. Each insurer must only pay up to the policy limits you purchased. You can only recover the total cost to repair the damage; no matter how many policies you have, you can't collect more than the damage's value or cost. If you have two small policies and more damage than either covers, you might collect under both policies: e.g. if you have two $20k policies and $30k of damage, you could get $20k from one, $10k from the other.
But if you are fully paid out for the damage by one policy, the other one does not pay you too.
