What to do if I got pulled over today for a expired registration and was then informed that my license was suspended and my insurance had lapsed?

I was unaware of any of this. I was arrested and bailed out. I would like to know what I should expect at my court date next month?. Should I get a lawyer?

Given the charge against you is a misdemeanor I suggest that you consult with a criminal defense attorney to represent you. At your arraignment you will be required to enter a plea of guilty, not guilty or no contest.

If convicted you could be jailed for up to six (6) months and/or fined $1,000.
