If I filed bankruptcy and could not pay my mortgage so the bank foreclosed, who pays the property tax?
The bank is trying to sell the house but no luck yet. The property tax is now past due. Am I responsible for payment of the property tax while waiting for the property to sale?

Once the home that you formerly owned has been foreclosed upon by the lender, then the lender is obligated under state statute to pay off all accrued property taxes as to the unit, not you. If the bank who now has title to the property fails to pay the property taxes, the county tax assessor can foreclose on the home.
