If you have accrued vacation days that you haven't yet used, you may be entitled to be paid for that time. About 25 states have laws that require employers to pay out an employee's unused vacation when the employment relationship ends (i.e. whether the employee quits or is termiated). Even in the states that don't require a company to pay out vacation time, an employer may have to do so if it has a policy or practice of doing so; check your company handbook. At this oint, you can contact your state department of labor in to find out your state's rules on this issue.
