Can you leave the state for a weekend while on bail for assault and/or battery?

A friend of mine beat a guy up with a gun and posted bail. I do not know the condition of said bail or the exact kind of charges he got but I know he is under threat of 1-5 years sentencing. I would like to know if he would be allowed to leave the state for a few days because I do not want to be charged withharboring. His court date is scheduled in 2 months.

Chances with the charge that your friend is facing, there is a prohibition on his leaving the state (at least without the court's permission). Unfortunately, without being able to see the terms of his bail agreement or being able to ask him directly about it, there is no way to know for sure.
