Are there other options besides filing an unlawful detainer to get someone out of my property?
Tenants have not paid any rent in 16 months. A 30 day was served over 6 mths ago. Due to the death of my mother and my own medical issues I was not able to enforce the notice. When I have approached them face to face I have been physically threatened. I have recently learned of illegal narcotics are being sold out of the property as well. Isn’t there something I can do like maybe trespassing or something criminal to get them out of my property?

You will most likely have to revive your eviction process and go through fully with it which includes the possession paperwork and then the sheriff's eviction. Your tenant is a holdover tenant and is still required to pay rent. You cannot hold off. Add the amount your tenants now owe to the new action.
