In the job description it states you must have your own transportation to use on the job, and no where does it state that they are not responsible for any damages that occur while on the job.

No, your employer is *not* responsible for the damage to an employee's vehicle used durng or for work--not unless the employer actually caused the damage (e.g. a co-worker damaged it while loading supplies into it; or it was another employer-controlled vehicle which sideswiped you). Otherwise, employers may require you to use your own vehicle without paying for gas, mileage, damage, etc.
