You may not have the right to face your accuser. Unless there is company policy that allows for this or there is a union agreement or employment contract that provides you the right. The fact is that most employment arrangements are known as "it will". This means that an employer had a great deal of discretion in setting the terms and conditions of employment. This includes who, when and how to terminate an employee. The only protection you would have here is  if some form of actionable discrimination played a part in your treatment but you did not indicate that to be the case.

Botton line, no matter how unfair this may all seem, it is legal.
