Dad does not want him to move since he has him every other week and he also takes him to his school. How can I move without getting into a long fight?

Unless there is a agreement between the parties or a court order to the contrary, it is suggested that if the child's father will not agree to a new school for the minor that you consult with a family law attorney about the possibility of filing a petition with the court for an order allowing you to move with your child to a better school district where he or she can attend it.
