I a am a lawyer in CT. Generally, when you are on probation for DWI there are no requirements regarding carrying weapons.  DWI is not a felony therefore, the judge is going to order that you are prevented from carrying a weapon.  I suggest however that you make sure you have a permit so that you do not pick up another charge for carrying the weapon while on probation.
