The only way to know for sure why she needs, or says she needs, these dates would be to see the will, or at least the language in it which refers to you or your marriage. At a guess, the will may not have been well written and may not have been revised since your divorce, and so it may have references to "my wife, Jane Doe" (if "Jane Doe" were your name) written in such fashion that to make sure that you are not the named beneficiary (and therefore that she is), she needs to show the date of dissolution of your marriage.
