Why won’t my lawyer give me a copy of my discovery?

welcome to make an appointment to look
at all of it, but I can’t have copies.

There are reasons why she might recommend *strongly* against giving you copies, but no reasons why she cannot if, against her advice and common sense, you insist on it.
The reasons: if she gives it to you and you leave it laying around someplace or accidently send it to the wrong person, you could hurt your case.
