Who is responsible for paying red light camera ticket in NYC while driving NJ company vehicle?

My NJ Employer wants me to pay 80 with my personal check for red light camera
ticket in company vehicle while in NYC. Can an employer force me to pay this and
why are they asking for a personal check? What is the law on this?

The DRIVER who went through the red light, not the car's owner, is liable for any red light tickets. So even though this was a company vehicle, if you were driving and went through the red light, you are in fact the person who should pay for it.
