If you were loading the TV alone into the car when the window broke, you would be liable for the entire replacement cost of the window. If you and your friend were both loading the TV into the car, you and your friend would be liable for the entire cost of replacement of the window unless it can be proven the amount of damage to the window that was caused by each of you.
Negligence is the failure to exercise due care (that degree of care that a reasonable person would have exercised under the same or similar circumstances to prevent foreseeable harm).
