What to do when your ex-girlfriend lies and says you stole her van out of spite because you brole up with her?

Your ex-girlfriend files a complaint that you stole her car 7 days after you leave but you have several texts messages saying, ” When you drop the van of leave the keys in the glove box”…”Do you know when you will be finished with the van”. Does she have a legal case?

Do not delete these text messages.  Instead, show them to a defense attorney who can in turn share them with a detective or prosecutor handling your case.  In this age of technology, many cases are won and lost based on text messages that reveal the true intent of victims.  If she gave you permission to use the van, she doesn't have a legal case.... but you'll still want to avoid issues by preserving incredibly valuable evidence.
