What rights does a landlord and tenant have in respect to quarterly interim and drive by inspections?

I am moving into a single family home and was told I was to be given quarterly interim inspections as well as monthly exterior drive-bys. What rights do I have concerning privacy and convenience? What rights does my landlord have during these visits? I have never experienced this and am curious what to expect during these inspections.

Under the laws of all sattes in this country a landlord is enetitledto enter a rented unit based upon reasonable notice to make repairs, do maintenance, show the unit for resale or to lease it out. Reasonable notice is typically meant to be at least twenty-four (24) hours notice given to the tenant.

Such inspections are usually made to make sure that the rental is being maintained in good shape and that there are no problems with it. In many aspects the inspections help the tenant as well as the landlord.

Notice is usually given by telephone call follwed up by e mail. If you were told by the landlord that you would be receiving reports concerning the inspections of the rental, you are entitled to have copies of them.
