What can I do to keep others from taking financial advantage of my father?

My father deceased wife’s daughter is trying to take over his home and car that he purchased after his wife died. He cannot read or write and she has taking over his affairs even his bank account. Is there something we can do to stop her?

It sounds as if your Father may need some one here he trusts to help him and be appointed as his guardian.  Is he "of sound mind" or frail or greieveing?  Is that why she has had such an influence - called undue influence - over your Father?  Then act quickly but try and speak with your Father who is obviously trusting of her.  If he is of sound mind get him to seek help from ana ttorney to do some estate planning, maybe under the guise of saving estate taxes, etc.  Good luck.
