What can I do if a man that I was dating gave me herpes?

I recently found out that the person I was dating gave many people this virus and I was one of them. He never told me he had it and I got infected. I also found out that he is a porn star and a bi-sexual escort from the internet; I am a women. I now have to be on medication the rest of my life and I have been seeking therapy for depression and anxiety because of this.

IF he knew that he had the disease and did not tell you before you had intimate relations, then he may be liable for having given it to you and you may be entitled to monetary compensation. That is because being intimate with someone when you that you have a disease passed on by such contact is and not warning the person (so she could decide whether she wants to take the chance or not), depending on the exact circumsanstances and his intentions, negligent, or unreasonably careless, at best; possibly reckless or grossly (greatly) negligent; and possibly even an intentional or deliberate wrongful act. In  these cases, he may be liable. But if he didn't know that he had the disease, he would not be liable, because in that case, he did nothing wrong or blameworthy; not knowing of the disease, he would have had no obligations in regard to it.
