What can I do about not receiving a paycheck from an employer?

I worked on a job, now the boss will not pay me or answer my calls.

You can either contact the state department of labor and file a wage complaint (a complaint about not being paid)--they may be able and willing to help you--or sue (such as in small claims court) for the money. If you sue, if the business had been an LLC or corporation, you can only sue the LLC or corporation itself; but if it had been a sole proprietorship (i.e. not an LLC or corporation) you can sue the owner personally for the money.
