I was terminated for attendance even though I had the correct doctors documents.

Having doctor's notes or documents doesn't, by itself, make it ok to miss work. To miss work allowably, you need to either have and use paid time off, like sick days, or be eligible for and use FMLA leave. If you don't, you can be terminated even with documentation from a doctor; the law does not require employers to retain employees who miss work, even for medical reasons, without using PTO or legal leave, like FMLA.
