What are my legal choices/options to stop harassment against myself and my business?

We have a company trying to collect on a bill given to us for work we had requested but were never told the pricing until we received na invoice in the mail. We have refused to pay the invoice and they have disabled our website; we previously paid $4000 to create it (and have not made and revenue from it). We are getting harassment calls and visits and have people calling the businesses around us and threatening them to talk with us to pay this unfair invoice.

You should consult with an attorney about this. The issues will be--

1) What did the work order, contract or service agreement, etc. say--if you blanket authorized the work without checking on the price, getting an estimate, etc., then as a general matter, you may be obligated for the debt. Nothing forced you to commission or authorize work or buy a product without first knowing the price, and if you chose to do this, it may be enforceable against you.

2) The above said, if the company committed fraud--that is, if they misrepresented or lied to you to get you to sign up--that fraud may be enough to void the agreement and your obligation.
