What action should I pursue if I continually receive my checks late and they bounce?

I am currently waiting on a check that was due last week from my employer. The

last 6 months have been like this. I haven’t been receiving bounced checks lately

but they have come in the past and my employer seems to always have a reason why

its not his fault.

If you are not paid in timely manner or paid at all, you can file a claim with your state's department of labor. You can also sue for any back wages owed you in small claims court. However, if your employer has hit hard times, the prudent thing to do would be to seek other employment. If the business fails, you can't get blood out of a stone.
