If we have a paintball team and want to trademark our team name and logo, do we have to form a LLC or INC to do so?

We have plans for collecting dues for team use only.

No, you do need an LLC or Inc. to register a trademark, though you may wish to: the reason is that a trademark has to be registered in the name of some person or entity, so while an individual can register it, the trademark would then belong to him or her. If you want it be owned by the team, you need to create a legal entity for the team--an LLC or corporation (Inc.) and then have that entity register the name and logo.
