If I was issued a disorderly conduct charge for fighting outside of a bar, is jail time likely?

I was intoxicated at the time as was the man I fought. We got into an argument and he charged me and started throwing punches until the cops jumped in and threw him in handcuffs; the only thing I did to fight back was push him away. This is a first time offense and my record is clean with a misdemeanor recently expunged.

In Massachusetts, a conviction of a first offense of disorderly conduct carries a maximum penalty of $150.00.  On a second or subsequent offense, a person can be punished by up to 6 months in jail or the house of corrections, or by a fine of $200.00, or by both.  If this is your first offense, there is not possibility of jail time in Massachusetts.
