What to do about travel on pending OPT?

I’m an international student and I submitted my OPT application over 2 weeks ago. I will betraveling between the 21st of this month and the 1st of the month thereafter. I still have to complete my dissertation and my completion date is in a little over 2 months from now (as stated on my I 20). I have a valid passport and a valid visa. I’ll carry with me all my I 20 and the USCIS receipt for OPT application. My school can also make me a letter of good standing. Is it travel for me risky? Should I cancel it?
