If you were served with a complaint and summons notify your insurance company immediately and send the company a copy of the complaint. If the insurance company refuses to defend you, you must file an answer yourself within 30 days, if the complaint was filed in Georgia State, Superior, or Magistrate Courts. However, the worse thing you can do is to ignore the entire matter and not file a timely answer.

If you were served with a complaint, you respond by filing an Answer. In that answer, you were deny that you were involved in the accident, state where you were instead (if you remember), and assert that you are not the correct party.
