Should I get my own attorney if my insurance company is requesting a deposition regarding an auto claim?

It depends on your goal. What is your goal? If your goal is to handle the case yourself because you want to keep 10% of settlement and not worry about whether the settlement is fair not, you should not. However, if your goal is to run the case based on legal strenght and have an expert on your side, then you should.

If you are a party to this claim--i.e. the car owner, or a driver involved in an accident--then definitely get  an attorney to represent you. Your economic and other rights will be determined in part, possibly in large part or even whole--by the deposition; you want a lawyer to object to any improper questions and help prevent you being taken advantage of.
