You have other options.  First, reinstate your car insurance.  Second, get the police report from the 5-car accident and file a small claims action against the driver at fault to collect for the damages to your car.  You do not need a lawyer in small claims court.  If the total amount you can collect in small claims is not enough to cover the car damages, then file in superior court.  you can still represent yourself.  dont waste time.  the at fault driver will have coverage to pay you.
