Should I release my insurance liability limits to the plaintiff’s attorney, if I had a fender bender?

I rear0ended the plaintiff . Their attorney is asking for release of my insurance liability limits. Should I release? My insurance rep says no but I question who this benefits?

Based upon what you have written, I would follow your claims representative's advice on the subject. Under your insurance policy you have the duty to cooperate with the carrier and by not following the representative's advice you could be deemed in violation of the cooperation clause of your policy.
