My best friend was at a house with two friends who have a baby that is not 1 yr old yet . The house was raided. He had no marajuana on him and he was charged with it anyway. What should he do? He can’t get a court appointed lawyer and he doesn’t have the money to pay for one.

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area. I am not sure why your friend was charged. Was there marijuana in the house? In any event, your friend should hire a public defender if he cannot afford a lawyer. If this is your friends first time being arrested, then he should fight as hard as he could to keep his record clear.
