What will a criminal background check show?
I got into trouble a couple years ago with theft. I went to court and got it dropped down to misdemeanors. I don’t have any felonyies on my record. Will it show up on a criminal background check and, if it does show up, how will it show up? I need to know if possible ASAP for a job.

As a general rule, this kind of check shows arrests, convictions, dismissals, and the like. However, in FL sometimes a person can obtain either an "expungement" or "sealing". While they are different remedies, both result in the public not having access to such records. There are certain requirements that must be met. Since you only gave the most limited facts, you really need to consult with a criminal law attorney in your area. Outright convictions are not typically eligible.
