We’ve lived apart for 6 months and we each take care of our own finances. Although no legal separation.

No you are not liable. Unless you live in a community property state (you don't), or you specifically agreed to be held liable (I assume that you did not; you didn't indicate this to be the case), or this was a necessary expnese for the household (which it wasn't, unlike a medical bill) one spouse is not liable for the debts of the other spouse.
