If my stepson just turned 18 today and his 16 year old girlfriend is pregnant, are there any charges that can be brought against him as far as statutory rape?

He has been dating and is engaged to a girl that is 16. She has ran away, and is supposedly pregnant. He had nothing to do with her running away and has been cleared by the police on that.

The chances that your grandson being charged with statutory rape is remote since his girlfriend who is a minor became preganant when both of them were minors. Given the situation both are in, they need to consult with counselors regarding the pending birth of the baby and how to take care of him or her.
