MY SON-IN-LAW IS LIVING WITH US. MY DAUGHTER IS IN THE PROCESS OF A DIVORCE. HOW CAN WE GET HIM OUT?

HE HAS A VOLITILE TEMPER AND IS WHAT I CONSIDER AN ALCHOLIC. HE CANNOT GO WITHOUT 1 DAY WITHOUT DRINKING. HE IS NOT WORKING AND IS NOT TAKING WAHTEVER IS AVAILABLE. HE HAS TURNED DOWN SEVERAL JOBS BECAUSE IT WASN’T WHAT HE WANTED. MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE HAD ENOUGH AND HAVE HAD TO INVOLVE THE POLICE. I AM AFRAID HE WILL DO SOMETHING TO A FAMILY MEMBER. THERE ARE 2 MINOR CHILDREN IN THE HOUSE. MY 14 YR OLD AND MY 2YR OLD GRANDSON. PLEASE HELP.

Have you tried getting a restraining order that would forbid him from living in your house based on his violent behavior? Better yet, has your daughter requested  a restraining order so that he could not be near her or the children? Your daughter may be able to request this in the court where her divorce is taking place. She can contact the court and find out what papers and procedures she must follow.
