My son has been accused of rape. The person is claiming this about 8-10 years later. What should he do? He has no money.

The accuser lives in GA he lives in TX.
He says it’s a false accusation. She
seems to be wanting a payoff. We don’t
know what to do.

Please go and consult with a criminal attorney asap about all the possibilities here.  It is important to be prepared on all fronts.  You need to know where the act allegedly occurred, the ages of the parties and the law regarding the statute of limitations.  If she just seems to be wanting money (extortion) the attorney can help with this as well.  Good luck.
